The Next Evolution in Step Motor Technology The latest developments in step motor technology have been the application of low cost, high resolution feedback devices and advanced digital signal processing to close the loop on stepper motion, resulting in the efficient and high performance StepSERVO™ Closed Loop Stepper Technology. StepSERVO closed loop motors, drives, and integrated motors provide numerous performance advantages over traditional open loop step motors, including increased acceleration rates and higher efficiency operation, as well as less motor heating and less audible noise. A Wide Range of Integrated Motors In 2019, Applied Motion Products expanded its line of integrated motors with the addition of an integrated motor built upon a traditional 8-pole brushless servo motor. Using the same innovative approach to integrated motor design, developed over time with integrated stepper motors and StepSERVO Integrated Motors, Applied Motion Products released MDX Integrated Servo Motors for higher speed applications and more dynamic control of torque, velocity, and position.
