Pepperl+Fuchs’ ML6 series subminiature photoelectric sensors come with dual sensor redundant detection and independent outputs. Also available in long-range background suppression sensing models and retroreflective models with no sensing deadband, sensors are used with a corner-cube reflector and are polarized so shiny objects will not be mistaken for the reflector
An ML6 model with dual sensor redundant detection and independent outputs provides dual beams from two emitter LEDs. The beams reflect light to two receivers, while two independent outputs indicate the state of each separate beam. The sensor can detect a gap between two objects to suppress the detection of small particles such as textile fibers.
