Editor-in-Chief Joyce Fassl has spent most of her career in the food and beverage publishing industry. Before joining PMMI Media Group’s ProFood World in 2016 as editor in chief, she was editor in chief of Food Engineering magazine for more than a decade. During that time, she revitalized Food Engineering’s editorial coverage and transformed the Food Automation & Manufacturing Conference, making both the conference and magazine the most successful and respected in the industry. Joyce began her food and beverage industry career in the late 1980s when she joined Chilton Company as managing editor of Food Engineering. In 1992, she became editor in chief of Food Engineering International magazine, and in 1995, she was named editorial director of both Food Engineering and Food Engineering International. Joyce’s expertise is creating dynamic print and online content, building top-notch editorial teams, curating conference programs and hosting live events. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Penn State University.
