Trexel's (Woburn, MA) MuCell microcellular polymer foaming process has been added to the EPA's database of approved alternative technologies, says the company.

MuCell uses 100% CO2 rather than HCFCs. Trexel licenses MuCell technology to end users. Commercialization efforts are focusing on extrusion and injection molding of polystyrenes, polyolefins, PET and PVC.
