Emerson Acquires Aventics

Acquisition strengthens Emerson’s fluid control and pneumatic capabilities.

Show Daily Exclusive - Emerson (Booth N-4721b) recently acquired Aventics—a leading manufacturer of smart pneumatic components and systems. The smart pneumatic technologies enable Industry 4.0 through connectivity and analytics that are ready for tomorrow’s digitized operations.

Aventics pneumatic technology is critical to packaging machines that feature high-speed, point-to-point movement. Small, lightweight and highly flexible, devices optimize compressed air performance—minimizing contaminants, reducing food product perishability and enhancing safety. These features allow packaging machines to utilize pneumatics more efficiently.

“With the acquisition of Aventics, Emerson now offers the broadest portfolio of fluid control and pneumatic products and solutions in the industry,” says Nick Buccheri, vice president of Marketing, Fluid & Motion Control at Emerson. “We are able to offer our customers a single partner to work with across the entire plant to help solve their greatest challenges.”

Aventics’ industry experts will play a key role in enabling Emerson to remove complexity, reduce project timelines, increase availability and lower total cost of ownership.

With central offices in Laatzen, Germany, Aventics has approximately 2,100 employees worldwide, five manufacturing locations and sales of $425 million (2017).
