Key Technology Integrated Sorting System

Installed upstream before the snippers, the Key Technology integrated sorting system includes an initial shaker that feeds the rotary size grader, which removes short and thin green beans, as well as foreign objects. A second shaker feeds the digital sorter, which is equipped with top-mounted cameras and laser sensors to detect the color, size, shape, and structural property of objects, and separates incoming product into two streams that go to waste, one accept stream dedicated to difficult-to-snip green beans, and another accept stream that leads field-snipped and easy-to-snip green beans to downstream systems designed to handle them.

Make plans to visit PACK EXPO International in Chicago, November 8-11, to see the latest technologies for food processing and packaging machinery and materials.
