Balluff’s new PROFINET Ethernet-based 16 Port IO-Link Master doubles the previous number of available ports with increased capacity at each port. Up to 256 I/O signals can be processed when sensor/actuator are connected to the IO-Link master, transmitting up to 32 bytes of process data in cyclical form. Combined with Balluff expansion ports, up to 480 I/0 signals can be processed giving users the ability to communicate to numerous smart devices and building the I/O architecture.
