Compact sensor provides grayscale resolution

SICK unveiled its high-performance KTM contrast sensor with high grayscale resolution, which detects materials regardless of color or product finish.

 The sensor incorporates OES4 ASIC technology allowing for 15 kHz switching frequency and 35 μs response times. The miniature sensor comes in two options: the KTM Prime with red, green and blue sensing light or the while sensing light of the KTM Core.
