The PMMI Foundation provides financial support to education programs throughout the U.S. and Canada. Each year, the PMMI Foundation funds initiatives to encourage students in their pursuit of careers in packaging and processing.
In 2023, the PMMI Foundation will provide more than $750,000 to education partners and students to develop the future packaging and processing industry workforce. Funds are raised at events such as the Foundation Golf Tournament, PACK gives BACK™, the Amazing Packaging Race, Silent Auction events, and from generous donations from individuals at PMMI member companies. These proceeds complement the financial support provided by PMMI.
“We’re extremely grateful to our generous sponsors and golfers for their commitment to educating our future workforce. Their financial support makes programs such as the PMMI & Nuts, Bolts, and Thingamajigs (NBT) manufacturing summer camps for kids, as well as academic scholarships, possible,” says Stephan Girard, senior director, education & workforce development, PMMI.
