PLAN IT Packaging Systems will introduce its new EliteCount | Flow200 high-speed counting and feeding system at PACK EXPO International 2026 in Chicago. Attendees can see the technology operating as part of a complete packaging line at Booth LU-8535 in Lakeside Upper.
Designed to automate the transition between individually wrapped products and secondary packaging, the EliteCount | Flow200 takes loose packages introduced onto the system and separates, aligns, and spaces them before precisely transferring them into downstream packaging equipment.
The system is designed to handle a variety of flexible package formats, including stick packs, sachets, four-side-seal packages, flow packs, and other individually wrapped products. Its flexible handling design allows manufacturers to process multiple products and formats without extensive mechanical changeovers.
Depending on the application, the EliteCount | Flow200 can prepare and transfer up to 210 products per minute. Despite the high throughput, the conveying system is engineered for gentle product handling while maintaining consistent spacing and accurate positioning.
Optional inspection technology can also be incorporated. Incorrectly positioned packages can be identified and rejected, while vision systems can be added when products need to be inspected or properly oriented before entering the next stage of packaging.
The EliteCount | Flow200 is particularly suited for manufacturers looking to automate multipack applications where individual products must be counted and grouped before being placed into a larger package.
At PACK EXPO, PLAN IT Packaging will demonstrate that process as part of a fully integrated production line.
The demonstration will begin with a high-speed stick pack packaging machine producing individual packages. Finished stick packs will enter the EliteCount | Flow200, where they will be separated, counted, and precisely delivered into PLAN IT Packaging’s newly designed 4-station Rotobagger-lite premade poucher, economically built for production speeds up to 25ppm .
Completed multipacks will then move into the end-of-line portion of the system. Cases will be automatically erected before the finished pouches enter the RoboPacker robotic pick-and-place case packing system. From there, completed cases will continue to the PackMaster collaborative robotic palletizer, completing the packaging process.
The result is a live demonstration connecting primary packaging, counting and product handling, secondary packaging, case packing, and palletizing within one continuous system.
For PLAN IT Packaging, the line highlights an increasingly important area of automation: the transition between individual machines. As manufacturers look to reduce repetitive manual handling and increase throughput, automating the counting, grouping, loading, case packing, and palletizing processes can be just as important as increasing the speed of primary packaging equipment.
PACK EXPO International attendees can see the entire process running live, from an individual stick pack to a pallet-ready case, at PLAN IT Packaging Booth LU-8535.
