Boston Gear added new mounted bearing designs and universal joints to its line of stainless steel shaft accessories for high-pressure food processing and packaging washdown applications. The line now includes setscrew locking 3-bolt flange brackets and wide slot take up units available in a range of bore sizes. Models feature 304 stainless steel housing, 440C stainless steel inserts, and NSF H1 food grade grease. Synthetic lip seals with a stainless steel flinger provide protection in high-pressure washdown conditions. Pin and block type stainless steel universal joints are also available, designed to connect shafts at angles up to 30 degrees and speeds as fast as 200 RPM. Units feature 303 stainless steel construction and can be made-to-order with machined bores or solid hubs.
