Atlas Copco's (Sewickley, PA) new motion controller offers improved positioning performance over previous versions. The Atlas DMC 2.0 employs an enhanced feedforward PID (proportional integral derivative) servo algorithm, improved smoothness in master/slave and electronic CAM applications, and faster respones to system faults with detection in firmware.
