High-efficiency motors

As efficiency regulations become stricter, OEMs are forced to select premium efficiency motors with more efficient type of mechanical power transmission.

But OEMs still have a choice in using higher efficiency pumps, fans and compressors that require less HP to drive them. They can also select higher efficiency power transmission devices, with lower friction requiring less HP to drive them. Plus, switching to helical or bevel gearing can reduce mechanical losses so the driving motor size can be reduced. Quantis gearmotors are available with clamp-collar input from 1/2 to 10 HP, and coupled with a premium efficient motor like the Super-E, they can help OEMs achieve greater efficiency.
