PLAN IT Packaging is excited to announce the move into our new 40,000-square-foot facility at 5145 Timberlea Boulevard in Mississauga, Ontario, marking another major investment in the continued growth of our North American packaging automation business.
The expanded Mississauga operation gives PLAN IT significantly more room to showcase, assemble, integrate, test, and support packaging equipment, while creating a stronger experience for customers, partners, and our growing team.
At the center of the facility will be approximately 2,065 square feet of dedicated showroom space, giving customers the opportunity to see packaging machinery and integrated systems in operation. The warehouse provides more than 31,800 square feet of production and staging space, a 20-foot clear height, and six truck-level loading doors plus a drive-in door, providing greater flexibility for machine assembly, system integration, testing, shipping, and larger turnkey automation projects.
The facility will also include approximately 1,764 square feet dedicated to an in-house machine shop and fabrication area. This added capability will allow our team to support custom integration, equipment modifications, tooling, guarding, conveyors, and project-specific requirements directly from our Mississauga operation.
The property has undergone extensive improvements, including renovated office space, exterior upgrades, new parking lot paving, warehouse electrical drops, a new roof, and upgraded building infrastructure. With more than 40 parking spaces, a fully enclosed warehouse, sprinkler and drainage systems, and partial warehouse air conditioning, the facility has been designed to support both our people and the increasingly sophisticated automation systems we deliver.
Expanding Our North American Support Network
The Mississauga expansion also complements PLAN IT Packaging's 35,000-square-foot Customer Experience Center in Tampa, Florida, strengthening our ability to support customers throughout both Canada and the United States.
Together, the two facilities provide PLAN IT with a significantly expanded North American footprint for equipment demonstrations, customer testing, machine inventory, integration, factory acceptance testing, training, service, and technical support. Tampa continues to provide an important hub for customers across the United States, while Mississauga expands our Canadian engineering, assembly, integration, and customer-support capabilities.
This two-facility approach gives customers greater access to equipment and technical resources closer to their operations while providing PLAN IT additional capacity to stage and complete increasingly complex packaging lines, robotic systems, and end-of-line automation projects.
More than simply additional square footage, the new Mississauga facility represents PLAN IT Packaging's continued investment in people, infrastructure, machine availability, system integration, customer support, and long-term North American growth.
As our equipment portfolio, team, and customer base continue to expand, these investments give us the space and capabilities to continue delivering complete packaging automation solutions built around the needs of the manufacturers we serve today, and where production is headed next.
