PMMI CEO Ensures PACK EXPO Las Vegas is ON

Las Vegas remains open for business, as do plans for PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging Expo, the most comprehensive packaging and processing event in the world in 2021.

PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO Remains on Schedule

Dear packaging and processing professionals,

PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO is ON and we continue to see strong industry commitment from exhibitors and attendees. In light of the recent news about spikes in COVID-19 cases, we want to be sure you have the facts. Las Vegas continues to host events with new protocols in place, which PMMI will implement through every facet of our show, following all CDC and local regulations and industry best practices. We are closely monitoring all indicators for the show and are in regular communication with our exhibitors and attendee base, including many leading CPG companies planning to attend, so that we understand and address your needs.

Registration is on the rise daily with nearly 1,000 packaging and processing professionals registering last week alone.  While attendance may be impacted due to travel and other restrictions, especially with international participants, we anticipate exceeding 20,000 attendees this September. Although this will be down from our last show, it will be a significant show and the largest and most attended packaging and processing show since 2019. Based on all indications to date, I believe the majority of the industry is excited to reunite with the more than 1,500 exhibitors that will be spread across four expansive halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center. New exhibitors are added each week, in fact we added 16 new exhibitors last week alone. You can always see the most up-to-date exhibitor list hereAnd find out more about who is attending here.

PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO will be the first opportunity in 18 months to see live, in-person technology in action and is the only comprehensive packaging and processing trade show in the world this year. To execute a successful event we are working hand in hand with leadership in Las Vegas to ensure that all health and safety guidelines are closely followed. Clark County Commission Chairwoman Marilyn Kirkpatrick wants everyone to know “Las Vegas is open for business,” and further shared “together with our health leaders and resort and tourism partners, we’re doing everything we can to safely welcome trade shows and meetings to our destination. We remain optimistic that getting more people vaccinated in our community in conjunction with our current mask mandate will allow us to keep our workforce, community and visitors safe and our tourism economy moving forward as we continue with efforts to put the pandemic behind us.” You can also check out our PACK Ready health and safety plan, which we will keep updated as we continue to adjust to the changing conditions and evolving guidelines over the next seven weeks leading up to the show.

I know many of you are eager to get back to in-person events, and PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO will be the first opportunity to do so in a long time. Now more than ever it is important for you to keep up with the ever-evolving needs of our industry, to keep a competitive edge. PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO is a critical piece of the puzzle for addressing packaging and processing challenges and accomplishing business goals. I can’t wait to see you there.
